We left Fairbanks in the sun and warmth. It was a perfect day for riding when we started out. Our only stop today was in a little town called North Pole, Alaska. As you can imagine everything in the town was related to Christmas and good ole Santa!!!
It is the USA’s 4th of July long w/e and we happened to get into town about ½ hr before their annual parade. We watched some of this and did a bit of shopping at a big Santa store, parcelled some things off to home and then saddled up to head back to Tok for the night. We stayed in Tok approx 10 days ago. About an hour after we started out, the skies turned real black!!! We knew we were in for some nasty weather so pulled off the road and put our rain gear on. When the rain came it really wasn’t as bad as what we had anticipated but we did ride in rain most of the way to Tok. We saw 2 moose today on the side of the road.Supper in Tok at Fast Eddies was great just like it was the last time. Andrea took a photo of us because, sadly, tonight was our last supper in Alaska.
