Day 2 - Friday June 11th

Travelled from Wawa to Thunder Bay
Up at 7am for breakfast! A restaurant was suggested to us which turned out to be quite the entertaining meal! The restaurant was unusually busy for a Friday morning and one of the customers started serving everyone coffee! Staff from the bank next door came in to work until the bank opened at 9:30. We had a "long fun breakfast". We then visited the Wawa famous Goose and Robinson General store where we just had to pet the bald moose!! On the way out of town we stopped at High Falls which is another wonderful hidden beauty of northern Ontario. We stopped at Ouimet Canyon also known as "The Grand Canyon of the North" near Nippigon. It was a rainy, foggy day but we were still able to capture of the beauty of this wonderful place and take a "candid shot" of us on the bridge in the rain!
At the end of the day, close to Thunder Bay we visited the Terry Fox museum. This is a place that always gives me goosebumps when I think about how brave he was. It is now 10pm and still light outside! What a night in Thunder Bay. Around 2am we woke up with start at someone throwing rocks at our window. (we were on the second level). This guy kept yelling someones name and tossing the pebbles. It did stop though and we went back to sleep only to be woken up shortly later with more rocks that sounded larger being tossed on our window. Obviously this guy had the wrong room!! We called down to the front desk and they informed us that the police had been called. That was the end of the noise but our sleep was greatly messed up. In the morning there was one lonely shoe outside under our window! You just never know what kind of
adventures are ahead of us!!
