Day 9 - Friday June 18th

Travelled from Houston, British Columbia to Prince George, British Columbia
What an awesome day for travelling and to celebrate my birthday!!! Visited the Twin Falls which was an approx 20 min hike all uphill! It was totally worth it though! Will, Andrea and Al walked up to the base of one of the falls, but it was through some pretty rugged, rocky land so the rest of us opted to sit on a nice picnic table and wait for them. Our next stop was at the Hazelton Gitksan Indian Village which had us driving over a suspension bridge with a huge huge gorge beneath it!! We did not have time to take the guided tour at the village so we wandered around the village for about 1/2 hr looking at some exhibits and old buildings which I really enjoyed. The rest of the day we traveled beside the Skeena river, the second longest river in British Columbia. I believe the Fraser River is the largest which we had also past a few days ago. It was the most awesome motorcycle road we have ever been on!! The river on one side with the Rockies all around us!! For the three hours we were on this road we were in total awe of the beauty and how around every corner there was something even more magnificent to see!!! The sun was in the right spot for beautiful photos. As we travelled it got really windy and much cooler!! We stopped for lunch at a small little restaurant that had the perfect sign in the yard!!
The weather today was great, sun all day and not too cool. The guys seem to be very fascinated when a train comes beside us so I definitely have to take pictures of this grand event! At supper my traveling buddies gave me a pen with my name on it and a poohbear from Andrea and Will..LOL..too cute..little jelly beans come out his bum when he sits!! Certainly gave us all a great laugh at the supper table. Kelli sent me a special e-mail with birthday wishes from the kitties, Gizmo, Ivy and Marley!! I was really touched by the photos. The kitties pose so well!! This will be a birthday I will never forget!!
