Day 5 - Monday June 14th
Travelled from Lanigan, Sask to Edmonton, Alberta. Saw 3 of the largest potash (fertilizer) mines in the world and stopped in Vegraville to see the worlds largest Ukrainian Easter Egg. The land changed going into Alberta with rolling hills almost like southern Ontario. More cattle raised than grain grown here. Passed Elk Island Federal Park and saw some bison in fields beside the road! (yes, they were fenced in). We are for the next 2 nights, staying in a cute B&B! It is nice to not be "in the saddle all day". Had supper at to the Keg in which Al seemed to have developed a special relationship with the waitress and received a free salad and dessert!!! (I won't mention it was because they ran out of the prime rib which he originally ordered and he had to change his selection!!)
